Why work with me?

I hold a degree in Kinesiology with a focus in Exercise Science from Cal Poly State University in San Luis Obispo. Cal Poly's Kinesiology program is renowned for its Biomechanics courses and rigorous "learn by doing" style.

In addition to my degree I hold two certifications which require a B.S. in Kinesiology to sit for. These are the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the NSCA and the Certified Exercise Physiologist (EP-C) from ACSM.

On top of these certifications I hold a PN level 1 from Precision Nutrition which gives me confidence in making diet recommendations though I would defer any major dieting concerns to a RDN.

What is my style?

I have a philosophy that all resistance training worth doing should be through free weights if your body will allow it. I like to work on progressions that lead up to heavy dumbbell and barbell work while adding accessory work to achieve your ideal physique. My specialities and focuses are listed below:

  • Athletic Performance

  • Weight Loss

  • Strength Programming

  • Behavior Modification

What is my experience?

I currently train at UCSF at Bakar Fitness in San Francisco's Mission Bay neighborhood. Outside of this I do online personal training with clients who have the personal motivation but simply need more guidance. For clients who do require more hands-on experience I can do in-person trainings for an additional fee outside of online training.

In my years of training I have helped men and women prepare for competitions, weddings, sports (collegiate and professional) and much more.

Furthermore, I specialize in weight loss and behavioral modification. As someone who has been very obese I understand the difficulties of changing one's mindset about food and fitness. I live to help people achieve their fitness goals. If everything above sounds interesting I encourage you to contact me and get started today!
